Motor Valley celebrates the launch of its new website including special packages and 2016 anniversaries
New York, NY – March 15, 2016 – The Emilia Romagna Tourism Board is pleased to invite visitors to discover the most important region in Italy’s long automotive history with the launch of the newly redesigned website MotorValley.com. Visitors to the site will find several tour packages to fully experience the Via Emilia lifestyle. The Discover Ferrari and Pavarotti Land and the Grand Prix TIM of San Marino and Riviera di Rimini tours both invite travelers to discover this land of fast cars, motorcycles and slow food in 2016, when the region will celebrate a number of milestone anniversaries.
For those seeking a complete Motor Valley experience, Modenatur is offering the Discover Ferrari and Pavarotti Land tour, a special 2-day/1-night package, which includes 1-night bed & breakfast accommodation in a 3 or 4-star hotel in the Modena area and a dinner or lunch in a typical Modenese restaurant. The 100th Annivesrary of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s Birthday
A series of events will take place from April 25-30, 2016 in the Emilian towns to commemorate the life of Ferrucio Lamborghini. Dedicated to International Lamborghini Clubs, the highlights will include visits to MAGI Museum of Cav. Giulio Bargellini in Pieve di Cento, car racing on the track of Varano de Melegari, an exclusive dinner with Prince Meli Lupi at Giuseppe Verdi Museum of Villa Pallavicino, and a specialGala evening on April 28 at the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum in Argelato.
“World Ducati Week” Celebrates Ducati’s 90th Anniversary
The international Ducati community will have a chance to celebrate their shared passion for the Bologna-made motorcycles during a series of events from July 1-3 held at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit that lies on the magnificent cost of Romagna.
Lamborghini celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Miura
In June 2016, the Lamborghini factory will organize an International rally “on the road” between Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Liguria to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Miura. Dubbed the world’s first supercar, the Miura was first unveiled to the public at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show. On January 24th two trademark applications with illustrative logos “Miura 50” and “M50” were filed to be displayed on the cars and merchandise.
Hollywood has also been drawn to the glamor of the Via Emilia with several high-profile Hollywood productions scheduled to shoot throughout the Motor Valley in 2016. Robert De Niro will star in a biopic about the racing and sports car legend Enzo Ferrari in film titledFerrari and Director Michael Mann is also planning to work on a project based on the life of Ferrari. The life of Italian businessman Ferruccio Lamborghini will also get the big-screen treatment with Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s Ambi Group developing the film Lamborghini – The Legend.
