Even if it is 80 degrees outside in sunny Florida, if you want to get in the holiday spirit, go to Christmas at Gaylord Palms, put on a parka, ride the Alpine Rush ice slides and view millions of pounds of carved ice masterpieces.
We asked Chris Brumbaugh, Gaylord Palms Director of Public Relations, about Christmas at Gaylord Palms.
How would you describe ICE! in just one sentence?
Two million pounds of ice are hand-carved to create a breathtaking, immersive experience, this year telling the holiday classic A Charlie Brown Christmas.
What will people see in ICE!?
From the moment they enter the attraction and feel the cold, guests will discover the bright colors and lights that bring the frozen sculpture displays to life.
This year, they will walk through the story of A Charlie Brown Christmas, joining the famous Charles Schulz as he rediscovers the true meaning of Christmas.
In addition to the sights and sounds, kids especially won’t want to miss the chance to try an ice slide as they journey through attraction!
What can you tell us about Cirque Dreams involvement?
Gaylord Palms is thrilled to bring Cirque Dreams back to Orlando for 2016, with all the. This year’s show includes brand new acts and shows will vary depending when you visit, so if you come out a few times you might see a different show.
We’re proud to offer free shows but guests are able to buy VIP seats in a reserved section if they choose.
What can you tell us about A Christmas Wish Light Show?
The resort’s new A Christmas Wish light show combines classic holiday music with spectacular lighting effects to create an immersive experience for guests, all centered around a brand new 60-ft Christmas tree in our atrium.
Why is Gaylord Palms such a perfect holiday resort?
From now through Jan. 1, Gaylord Palms becomes almost a Christmas theme park, with attractions and shows meant for all ages. Families can celebrate familiar holiday traditions as well as make new ones, whether they’re choosing to stay overnight with us or just visiting for the day.
