Orlando, Florida
Calling it amazing would be an understatement

Trying to describe the artistry of Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba is like tryng to describe the beauty of an ocean sunset - calling it amazing would be an understatement. From its' permanent home in Orlando, Florida in the Downtown Disney complex, La Nouba is a fascinating mixture of art, music, acrobatics, dance, costume and choreography that has left over seven million audience members shaking their heads in awe and disbelief again and again.
This is how Cirque du Soleil describes it. “La Nouba is memory, individual and universal. It beckons to us, challenges us to uncover passions we thought we'd lost long ago. La Nouba is an unforgettable journey through our universe.”
Inside the Big-Top styled Cirque du Soleil theater, these incredibly talented performers who have been gathered from more than a dozen different countries around the globe, perform an average of ten shows a week. La Nouba performers are from Russia, Canada, U.S., China, Ukraine, Brazil, Poland, France, Peru, Mexico, Australia, Belarus, Cuba, Great Britain and Sweden.
Do you enjoy beautiful and outrageous costumes? The wardrobe department handles over 3000 intricate and unique costumes and headpieces every day and most of the artists performing in La Nouba wear three different costumes per show.
Do you enjoy acrobatics? In just the PowerTrack / Trampoline segment you will see more than 390 flips and more than 60 twists in a little under eight minutes as performers bounce off walls, through windows and on and off the roof of a three dimensional building!
Do you enjoy original music? A live band and several vocalists effortlessly segue from hip-hop to jazz to rock to opera! Every music piece fits perfectly with the mood of the choreography it is supporting.
There is something for everyone in this fast-paced production. Jugglers toss around an impossible amount of objects. Four young girls show their mastery of the Diabolos Chinese Yo-Yo. High-wire artists balance 34 feet above the stage. BMX bicycle pros wow the crowd both on and off the stage. An aerial silk ribbon performer soars and spins above the stage and crowd. Flying trapezists swing, release and catch more than 50 feet above the stage. Plus, there are clowns, chair balancers, dancers and a variety of characters that have to be seen to be believed.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office of the theater, or by calling (407) 939-7328 or online at www.cirquedusoleil.com/lanouba. Group discounts are available by calling (866) 353-5625 and gift certificates can be purchased by calling (407) 934-7639.
