Located between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, the city of Pompano Beach offers a more leisurely vibe and excellent tourist amenities within minutes of the bigger cities. When planning a Pompano Beach getaway, we highly recommend the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa.
“We are centrally located between Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. Each is just fifteen minutes north or south. You can see the lighthouse just up the beach. We have tours to the lighthouse. You get some amazing views of sharks and manta rays,” Ana Santana, the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa Concierge, told us.
The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa’s two towers are located on the beach. The gentle sounds of the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean rolling make a perfectly relaxing way to start your day or end your evening sipping a cocktail on your balcony.

Guests never have to leave the property for meals either. McCoy's Oceanfront restaurant offers delicious seafood and American cuisine. McCoy's Oceanfront is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
If you do feel like exploring, Pompano Beach has a lot to offer the leisure traveler with its golden sandy beaches, water sports, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, paddle boarding, sand volleyball, outdoor fitness equipment, playgrounds, picnic areas, bicycle rentals and an interactive water fountain overlooking the ocean.
“Pompano is a very up-and-coming area. With the rebuild of the pier and at least seventeen new restaurants coming in, there are a lot of new assets coming to the area,” Santana said.
