Escape Resort - Palm Springs, California
From TRAVELING IN OUR FABULOUS GAY WORLD by Donald Pile and Ray Williams
We have been visiting Palm Springs for many years but for some reason have not been back for about 6 or 7 years. It is basically still the same and always fabulous.
This time we stayed at the Escape Resort which is one of the longest running, clothing-optional Gay resorts in the area. It was purchased a few years ago by Mark and Greg who were originally from Denver. They have updated some things but kept the basic theme.
We met most of the guests and they have been returning for years from Germany, Australia and all over the world as well as all parts of America. The Resort has a great reputation. Mark and Greg KNOW how to treat their guests and is why so many return again and again.
The resort is located within walking to downtown Palm Springs and to most of the Gay bars, so if you have a little too much to drink, you can always walk home.
They have 12 rooms, from Queen to King to Suites and comes with TV, WiFi, individual climate control, DVD Players, luxury linens, bathrobes, iron and ironing board, digital safe, mini fridge and an outdoor private patio area.
For those wanting to spend more than just a few days, they have kitchenettes so you can do your own cooking.
We really enjoyed having our continental breakfast on our patio and looking up at the majestic mountains. Their continental breakfast consists of gourmet coffees, teas and juices, cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit.
They also have a Video and Literature Library for guests.
There is plenty of off street parking that is safe.
Besides the beautiful pool area, they also have a 15 man Hot Tub that is open 24 hours.
From your private patio area or from the pool or from the Hot Tub, the scenic mountain views are incredible.
The Resort has lush trees and bushes and flowers including a lemon tree!
They are always nearly booked up solid so be sure and make your reservations early.
They are located just a few blocks from downtown at 641 East San Lorenzo Road.
Email them at [email protected] or give them a call at 1.760.325.5269. or 1.800.621.6973

Different gay resorts offers different things and the Escape Resort offers everything one would want. You can be as private as you want or you can mingle with other guests at all hours of the day and night. Mark and Greg are the perfect hosts and will certainly assure that you have a wonderful time staying with them. In our travels from coast to coast, this resort is one of the finest that we visited and we will for sure return on our next trip to Palm Springs.
Always remember to have fun when traveling, meet new people and talk to everyone.
