Excellent tours of Oahu - The Gathering Place
By Steven Skelley & Thomas Routzong
Throughout history, Oahu has been called “The Gathering Place.” That description is valid even today.
Oahu is the third largest Hawaiian island but it is the most populated. It is a fascinating blend of Native Hawaiian, Eastern and Western cultures. It is a contrast of old and new. It is modern cities surrounded by ancient natural wonders.
Looking for something unique for our tour of Oahu, we chose Oahu Nature Tours. Our guide, Mee-na explained the difference between Oahu Nature Tours and the more touristy companies, “Oahu Nature Tours is different from most tours because we focus on nature and history. This information makes all the difference. Another difference is that we focus on small group tours which allows us to go to places large buses cannot go and we can load and unload our passengers much more quickly and then spend more time sightseeing.”
Our Oahu Nature Tours small-group-tour was excellent. Mee-na was very knowledgeable, outgoing and fun. Our group of Americans, Australians and Fins spent a lot of time laughing and learning.
Founded in 1995 as the original nature adventure company on Oahu, Oahu Nature Tours offers “the finest eco-tours and best prices available, and have professional, knowledgeable and friendly local guides to narrate each location visited and assist you while exploring our beautiful island.”
Oahu Nature Tours activities are selected and designed to showcase the fascinating natural diversity and beauty of Oahu with special attention to spectacular scenery, excellent photographic opportunities, and information about the geology, archaeology, mythology and Hawaiian history.
