7 Day New England / Canada Cruise
The roundtrip 7 Day New England / Canada cruise aboard the beautiful Carnival Victory out of New York City is scenic, unique and educational.
Boston, Massachusetts, founded in 1630 and one of the oldest cities in the USA, and was our first port of call. The cruise line offers excursions including city highlights, Fenway Park, the Salem Witch Museum, a trolley tour, walking tours and more. Our city highlights tour included stops at Copely Square, historic Trinity Church and the Boston Library.
If you want to explore on your own, The Go Boston Card is a great choice. This $49.99 card allows admission to more than 70 Boston attractions such as New England Aquarium, Boston Harbor Cruises, Beantown Trolleys and Fenway Park Tours.
Portland Maine was our next port of call where the oldest lighthouse in Maine - the Portland Head Light - is located. This lighthouse has guided maritime traffic through the entrance to Portland Harbor for over 200 years. This is a perfect place to take outstanding photos and we enjoyed our tour here immensely.
The cruise line offers excursions including lighthouse tours, an amphibious vehicle tour, a horse drawn carriage tour, a lobster bake and a "best of Portland" tour.
After a relaxing day at sea, we docked at Saint John, New Brunswick with it's world famous Bay of Fundy and whale watching. Our horse drawn trolley tour was a great way to experience Saint John’s history at the pace of "yesteryear" and the Farmers Market in the heart of the city is a great place stroll along enjoying the farm crops. atmosphere and homemade crafts.
The cruise line offers excursions including coastal kayak, coastal photography, flowers and farms, historical Saint John and Irving Nature Park.
Our last port of call was Halifax, Nova Scotia. Peggy's Point Lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Nova Scotia. The lighthouse is one of the most photographed structures in Altantic Canada. The drive to Peggy's Cove along the coastal highway is filled with brightly colored houses and shops leading you to the picturesque fishing village.
The cruise line offers excursions including hop on - hop off bus tours, walking tours, amphibious bus tours, horse drawn trolley tours and a "Highlander For A Day" experience where you march in the boots of one of Queen Victoria's soldiers.
No matter what Carnival ship you take for your New England / Canada cruise, you are sure to enjoy the unique coastlines, history and people of this unique area.
